Certificate of Practical Design

Refer 'Flair' page 87

For those not wishing to study the theory of Design to the level demanded for the Unit System, there is a practical design option leading to a Certificate.

This certificate is for experienced designers who wish to be acknowledged for their proficiency in practical design skills.

It consists of eight practical designs.

Candidates may choose to do as few as one design or as many as all eight designs in one day.
A pass may be gained by attaining seventy percent (70%) or more in each design.

The criteria and titles are set annually by the FASNZ Inc. Education Committee and listed below.

The Certificate will be awarded when a pass has been attained in eight designs.

MARKING CRITERIA
A pass must be gained by attaining 70 percent (70%) in all designs to attain the Certificate of Practical Design. If the above is not achieved, designs that have been marked with seventy percent (70%) or more will be credited to the candidate.

The candidate will not have to re-sit those designs.

To complete the certificate, styles achieving less than seventy percent (70%) may be re-sat at a future date, in any Area.

The design styles being re-sat must use the titles set in the year of re-sitting.

Each of these designs must obtain seventy percent (70%) to complete the Certificate of Practical Design.
